Every time I paint this large, my creativity is unleashed. I find it easier to be more expressive and make bolder marks.

As I was creating the first layer, the words ‘taste and see’ kept coming to me. I felt it deep within, the meaning hit me all at once. Having children is one of the greatest blessings life can offer. Joy in the purest form.

This painting represents that overwhelming happiness, really enjoying the fruit of our labor, and overcoming any hardship we faced. It’s more than worth it in the end.

And it feels only fitting, that Jake helped bring this painting to life. This is our first collaboration we’ve done in a long time. He started it, and then we finished it together.

Approximately 10 years ago I took a vacation to St Augustine. While there I visited a fine art gallery and this is when and where I was introduced to Dimitra's art. I was taken.
I started by purchasing a print from her and then about 3 years ago I visited the Milan Gallery in Sarasota Florida, and this is where I saw Divine Messenger. I was so captivated that I purchased this painting.
It was not easy as so many beautiful and enticing pieces of art where hanging in the gallery.
I was fortunate enough to have bought it directly from Dimitra. It was quite an unforgettable experience, as she gave me the complete backstory to this painting and what it meant to her, why she painted it.
